De Vildtgaard, discover the most beautiful part of The Netherlands
In the cottage behind our manor we can welcome 5 people to stay. Our estate is set in the 7000m2 grounds garden.
The guesthouse is situated on walking distance of the National Park the “Hoge Veluwe” on the Northern boundary of the City of Arnhem in the once independent village “Schaarsbergen”.
Enjoy the surroundings
De Vildtgaard is an ideal starting-point to make all kinds of excursions, walking, biking and horse-riding in this part of Holland with its woods, its river Rhine and the cultural attractions of Arnhem and around. Near the house you will find a horse riding-school and a tennis-court as well as the War Museum. You can start your walking-tours directly from the house and in the close proximity you will find two 18-holes golf courses
The Estate is situated on walking distance of the National Park “Hoge Veluwe” on the northern boundary of the City of Arnhem.
The original house was constructed from wood and was imported from Norway in the early 1900s, it was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in stone in 1938 on the same place. The name of the house “Vildtgaard” refers to the first use of the wooden house as a hunting lodge.

The nature of “Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe” is overwhelming. The various landscapes continuously change.
Arnhem has a great deal to offer to make your stay an unforgettable experience! Arnhem is the fifth largest shopping town in the Netherlands and it lives up to its name. After your shopping spree the enjoyable entertainment district in Arnhem, “De Korenmarkt” (the old Corn Market), is the place to be for a drink.
